Jacqueline Strong Checks In
|
|
Fox Racing’s Jacqueline Strong (# 254) was set to make waves in her first year as WMA Pro. She had done very well in the spring at Lake Whitney and Oak Hill. She looked very fast in practice at the opening round of the 2008 AMA/WMA Pro National Motocross Championship at Hangtown, and certainly looked to be a podium contender. Unfortunately in the first moto she cased the downhill double in the middle of the track (she had cleared it fine in practice) and broke both her wrists. Jacqueline had surgery in mid June. A plate was put in each wrist and her left wrist required an additional screw and two pins. Three months post-op Strong had surgery to remove the hardware. Jacqueline checked in recently and reported that her recovery is going well and that right now she focusing on getting her wrists back to their full strength. In 2009 she plans to race Lake Whitney, Oak Hill, the WMA Nationals, X Games, and other select events that have a women's pro class. Jacqueline would like to thank all her sponsors for being so supportive through her recovery: Fox Racing, Honda of Houston, Factory Connection, Brad Lackey, Yoshimura, Dunlop, Twin Air, Factory Backing, Wiseco, Deluge Sport, Panolin Swiss Oil, CTI, RTT Stabilizers, Leatt, Pro Clean 1000, Engine Ice, ASV, D&K Service, Adam's Chiropractic, Functional Performance, Bark-N-Purr Pet Care, and Mike & Johanna Huber.
